Personal Service for Heirloom Timepieces Many people have timepieces that have been in the family for generations. I feel that it is important for a watchmaker to remember that a timepiece isn't just a watch or a clock, but a representation of part of a family's history. With proper repair and maintenance these antiques can continue to be passed down through the generations. Imagine holding a piece that in your great-great-grandfather's day was state of the art technology. It was required equipment, and he carried and used it every day. This small object is a connection to someone who would otherwise be just another name on a geneology chart. I feel that it is important to preserve pieces such as this, not just as your family history, but because they are a part of world history. Timekeepers changed much of how our world evolved. It's ironic that our fast paced economy no longer has time for the technology that fostered it. As a watchmaker, I believe it is my job to slow down and examine each timepiece, so that I can provide the best possible service to repair and preserve it. It is also very important for a watchmaker to communicate directly with the customer. My services can vary from basic repair to full blown restoration, and by working directly with you, we can easily achieve the desired results. Please contact me with your questions between 8:00am and 5:00pm EST, M-F (413) 549-1950 Or email me anytime: Matt@HenningWatches.com |
